3.1 Key Features & Specifications:

Construction Material: Double-walled galvanized steel with a non-combustible mineral core insulation. This construction provides durability, security, and critical thermal protection.

Fire Rating: A minimum 2-hour fire wall rating to contain a fire and protect its contents from external fires.

Secondary Containment: A seamlessly integrated, liquid-tight containment sump (bund) capable of holding 110% of the volume of the largest container or 10% of the aggregate volume of all containers, whichever is greater. The sump will be coated with a chemical-resistant epoxy coating.

Ventilation: Continuous mechanical ventilation system to prevent the accumulation of flammable or toxic vapors. Ventilation rates will be calculated based on the specific chemicals stored to maintain a safe atmosphere.

Spill Control: The building will include provisions for spill cleanup materials (e.g., absorbent socks, pads) within easy access.

Security: Heavy-duty locking doors and optional access control systems (keypad, card reader) to restrict access to authorized personnel only.

Labeling & Signage: The exterior will be clearly marked with appropriate hazard placards (e.g., "Flammable," "Corrosive," "Danger") and "No Smoking" signs as required.

The interior will be configured to safely store the intended containers:

Drum Storage: Heavy-duty steel racking or sturdy shelving designed to hold 55-gallon drums securely, preventing movement and allowing for easy dispensing.

IBC Storage: Designated, level areas with restraint bars or cradles to secure IBCs in an upright position.

Layout: Aisles will be designed for safe access for material handling equipment (e.g., drum carts, forklifts) and emergency egress.
